Forecast and Expectations

There's a subtle difference between forecasts and expectations.

A forecast is a belief that something will happen on a specific date or within a timeframe. It's a destination and an ETA. ("We'll hit 20k DAU on Nov 7")

An expectation is that something will happen in the future, but you don't know when. It's a destination without an ETA. ("We're going to hit 20k DAU")

As long as your team is heading to the right destination, and you have the motivation to get there, you don't need the complexity of a time frame.
